AIBO is stands for Artificial intelligence Robot which is a series of robot pets. Aibo is manufactured and designed by the Sony. the whole series of aibo robots look like a dog , lion-cubs and space explorer.
aibo manely marketed for the purpose of domestic and entertainment use also this is hire by various universities for educational purpose to research on robots. Aibo also used for advertisement purpose in very movies, music, videos.

In 1998 Sony announced the prototype of robots and introduce first model on May 11, 1999. After that sony has relapsed new and updated models of robotic pet till 2005.But in 2006 sony has stopped aibo product in order to make company profitable and finally from 2014 sony has stopped the costomer service and repaire service due to this aibo's costomer support falls gradually.
After stopping product sony still have support of third party such as battery refurbishment and repairers there are some aibo communities that meet to help with repair.This meet up groups found online by the owners and fans of aibo.

In November 2017, Sony announced a new generation of aibo which is available for the sale first time in 11 years named as ERS-1000 which is fourth generation model.
The fourth generation aibo robot ERS-1000 required internet connection to to perform fully. Its also have a LTE sim card and also required monthly subscription service to interaction and learning.
It has a 64 bit Quad-core processor , front and slam camera . Wireless LAN of IEEE 802 (integrated). 4G LTE mobile connectivity, A Display of 2x OLED eye , 4 microphones . and sensors like acceleration sensors , velocity sensor, vibration sensors. It consumes approximately 14W energy for working of 2 hours.
Sony has officially launched model on 11th Jan 2018 and the second sale is set on the 6th Feb 2018.
