When does facebook get data about people from other website and apps?

            As many of the websites and applications use facebook service to make their content relevant such as Social Plugins like share, like, comment, to make their site in trending and social. Sometimes you use Facebook to log into apps or website. Facebook ads and measurements tools which advertise by showing ads on Facebook.

             When we use an app or website that use s facebook services facebook receive a notification even you are logged out from your Facebook account. This is happening because other apps and sites don't know who is using Facebook. Not only Facebook but many other companies get information from apps and websites that we are using. Twitter, Pinterest, Linkedin all have share and like button similar to Facebook which helps to share our things with their services.

             Google has a service called Google Analytics. And Google, Amazon, And Twitter all offer login feature. this companies and many other companies offer advertising services.

What type of data does Facebook get from website and apps?

                 Apps and website that uses share and like or Facebook analytics,  Facebook takes information to make their content and ads more much better. 

                Whenever you visit website or browser (chrome, firefox, safari ) this browser shares your IP address so that this website knows where on the internet send this content. This websites also know data like which browser or operating systems we are using, It also gets cookies which identifies that you are visited this website before. 

              The website sends two types of data back to back 1st one is content of that site and the second one is instructions to the browser to send your request to other companies or services on the site. So, whenever we are using one of them service the same information your browser sends to the facebook as websites receive. also, facebook got information like which app are you using to in order to know that which tool should be provided.

               For example, If you are watching a YouTube video but not on YouTube, It tells your browser to request a video from YouTube and YouTube sends the video to you.
